I do hope that there is ‘something for everyone’, and I look forward to
seeing as many of you as possible at one or two - or all – events. Just
give me a ring to book tickets or send a cheque and I’ll post them
straight back.
Would you like to recommend a particular band or singer that you would
like to see perform here at The Grange Hall? Just let me know, and I'll
see what I can do.
Don’t forget
that our own Licensed Bar will usually be open from 7.00pm and fresh
coffee will also be available.

possible? Could a humble village team really have taken on the best that
the football leagues could throw at it and still come out on top? It’s a
case of ‘right place, right time’ for Steeple Sinderby as a revolutionary
trainer, two of football’s best players to have ever disappeared from the
top divisions and a chairman of Napoleonic ability all come together to
make dreams come true!

Conductor: David Curtis
The Orchestra of the Swan returns to
Southam with a concert celebrating the beauty and versatility of the
violin. The Orchestra’s leader, David Le Page, is joined by Catherine
Leech for the Bach. Also included is a new work from Paul Patterson, a
composer who is something of a musical chameleon, writing both serious
works of gravitas and light-hearted, humourous children’s pieces.
Copland’s Hoe Down from Rodeo is guaranteed to be a raucous, exciting and
jubilant finale !
Patterson - 60th Birthday Commission

want to be your friends for a night or maybe longer?

A Folk Evening with
“The
Harvesters" and Jayne Dalley
It is some time
since we had a folk night, and we welcome “The Harvesters” first visit
here – hopefully, the first of many!
Their songs are
all their own work and are written around numerous themes. They can make
you laugh, make you sing, make you cry and make you think! Many have
participative (and even simple) choruses and all are intended to be
accessible to as wide a range of musical tastes as possible. They use a
number of stringed instruments, make by their favourite luthier, Stefan
Sobell of Northumberland, and comprise guitar, bouzouki, cittern,
mandolin, guittern (or 12-string cittern) and Appalachian dulcimer.
They simply
love to share their music – for everyone listening, it’s a pure joy!
Isn’t it time
you saw how good they are … ?
Jayne has sung
here several times before, but this will be her first folk night here too
and will be a good example of her versatility!
It
should prove to be a relaxed and fun event.
